4.3 Oh la la! La Seine!!

The Seine is a 777-kilometre-long river in the North of France. It flows through Paris and into the English Channel at Le Havre. It is navigable by ocean-going ships as far as Rouen, 120 kilometers (75 mi) from the sea. Most tour boats, recreational boating and excursion boats offer sightseeing tours of the river banks in the capital city, Paris.

There are 37 bridges in Paris across the Seine (the most famous are the Pont Alexandre III and the Pont Neuf).

The average depth of the Seine today at Paris is about 9.5 meters.
